Hallow...I mean trick or treat!

Yesterday, Maryanne and I did something we hadn't done in at least 20 years...we participated in trick or treat! Since we had not been able to attend the neighborhood association meeting, we felt like this would be a great opportunity to meet the families in the development...and they would all come to our house!

My office also had a costume contest and my group...the International Certification Engineers...decided to come as Gilligan's island.

No, this is not us; this is what we were going for...

Can you guess who I am supposed to be? Here's a hint, my character refers to his wife as "Lovey"

You guessed it! I'm Thurston Howell, III.

This picture is the whole crew and guests who took that fateful 3-hour tour...can you name each character? No? Well, have you heard of Google...?

This is a picture of our table...when we mistakenly thought the evening started at 5:30 pm! We were set up just inside our garage which has a heater we enjoyed as the night progressed. You can see our candy bowl and the hot drinks...cider and hot chocolate. By the end of the night, both parents and children alike were enjoying a nice hot drink. Maryanne says we served about 125 drinks!

Here is Maryanne with just a couple of our visitors.

It all turned out to be a very fun evening...we did meet a lot of our neighbors and had a successful introduction. I have to admit that we were out done by two other houses. One was serving fresh grilled hot dogs and the other had a cotton candy machine...but I still think we will be the hot chocolate house next year!

Was Thurston Howell III serving drinks? Where are the pictures of that?
