What's Wrong with this saying?

Ever have one of those moments when you wish that you had a camera?

I had one on the drive home tonight. I was following a silver Honda Element. You know, one of those highly functional but very square utility boxes on wheels? As I got closer, I noticed that there was a message across the top of the back window in reasonably large and professional vinyl lettering. Here's the message:

"You just got past by a toaster!"

If you don't see anything wrong with the message, you need to go back to your sixth grade teacher and beg forgiveness for not paying attention to verb congigation...especially to the verb, "to pass" as in to move from behind to in front of.

Those of you who do see the mistake should feel free to help those who don't...

Oh, you want to know about the drive? Suffice it to say he/she probably still knows her/his sixth grade teacher.

Lol! That's funny! And to think that bumper sticker was probably edited by several people.... sad. Good thing my children are brilliant!
