Well, I've passed the final exam for ground school and have been endorsed to take the FAA written exam...and on the first try! Our instructor required us to make at least an 80% on his final to have confidence that we would be successful on the FAA exam...which only requires a 70%.
Oh? My score you ask? Overkill with an 85%. It was funny that the topics that I had the least confidence in went well, and the areas I thought I had cold were my weak areas. Sigh...over-confidence bites me again.
And to celebrate the success, the Beechcraft Employees Flying Club had approved giving us a ride in our trainer, the Beech Sundowner. What a sweet ride that was! I even got my first landing...well, at least I had my hands on the controls when we touched down.
So I'm very excited to start the next phase...taking the FAA exam and flight training. I'll share pictures soon...
Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and especially to Maryanne as I crammed over the weekend.

When I was in undergrad a wise man once told me that if I studied the whole way through I wouldn't have to "cram" at the end. Hmm...I wonder what that guy is doing now? Oh yeah, cramming for exams of his own!
Really though, congrats! This brings me one step closer to being the rich kid I always dreamed of.
Very exciting! So next time I come to Kansas can you take me for a ride in a plane?
Yay you! Just wait till I tell Elizabeth and Micah that they can ride in airplace with their Grand-Daddy.... when Mommy lets them, of course! :-)
Time to bust our the airplane hats!
Wooo Whoooo! Love you, Terri
