When I was in AFROTC during college, I played intramural sports and made friends with Larry Moore. When we graduated, we both got orders to the same navigator training class at Mather AFB outside Sacramento, CA. That's when our friendship became eternal as God made us brothers...and we've remained friends over the 30+ years in spite of the gaps because of God's work. Well, Larry is now a Captain (aircraft commander in our old AF lingo) for AirTran Airlines and arrived in Wichita about noon on Saturday for an overnight.
After catching up over lunch, we went back to the house to play with Maryanne's birthday present...yes, we introduced Larry to the Wii! Here are some photos of our fun...
First we had to make Larry a Mii...
Maryanne introduced him to the cow racing
Larry turned out to be a fast learner!
One of the games we have is Links...thanks Matt and Megan...which is a shooting game. Shannon, our resident Links expert, shared a few of her tricks with Larry, but he introduced us to the sniper position!
It turned out to be very effective technique as you can see another goat-stealing gremlin is about to buy the farm. Now that I think about it, Larry always has been a pioneer of new techniques...why I remember when he was shooting the sun to get a good LOP to go with what was an awesome DR...but that's another story... Suffice it to say that this gremlin went down!
Thanks for the fun visit, Larry. We hope the future holds an opportunity for us to visit with the whole family...you, Sonja, Allison and Nathan
