1 : amusing or laughable through obvious absurdity, incongruity, exaggeration, or eccentricity
2 : meriting derisive laughter or scorn as absurdly inept, false, or foolish
For example...
It was funny when Marlon honked the horn as Maryanne walked in front of the van at her friend's house. When I honked it again as she returned to the van it was ludicrous.
When we stopped to help the woman and her daughter stalled on one of the major 4-lane roads here in Wichita, the woman's situation was precarious. When I found out it was because she had run out of gas because she didn't want to put any in her sister's car, it was ludicrous.
When Blockbuster repeatedly called Shannon over a 5 month period about a problem with her account it was frustrating. When they lost her check but continued to stalk her by phone, it was ludicrous.
Thanks for the vocabulary lesson Maryanne...it was hilarious!
