Reflections

I'm a new Grand Daddy...almost...
I'm starting this post as I'm between the call that told me Matt can see Jeremiah's head and the call I'm anticipating will tell me God continues to bless my family.

Yes, I'm a new Grand Daddy for the forth time because it's as unique as each of the other times and remains new. In talking to Maryanne, I found myself reflecting on our childrens' births and while relishing my thoughts I hear this song by Darius Rucker. I've heard it before, but right now it seems like the theme song for my thoughts, my reflections.

It shares a glimpse of the joy and pride and celebration I am feeling...
...anticipating Jeremiah's birth to Megan and Matt today,

...looking to hanging Shannon's MFA thesis show tomorrow,

...preparing to sleep in the tent with Kierstyn and Curtis' kids Elizabeth, Micah, and maybe Benjamin next weekend.

More reflections will come soon...I just got the call Jeremiah is here!

Great song! I don't think I've ever heard it before.

Made me think about a conversation I had with a friend. We were talking about how hard being a mom with young children can be. But here I am looking at kindergarten curriculum for my first baby. How is that possible??? Our conclusion was: The hours are long but the years are fast.

Celebration with you!

Soooo true...it seems like a heartbeat ago that we were bringing our beautiful daughters home. We've had more than a few sleepless nights since then but it was all worth it.

love you marlon.
