My Last Arrow

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.

I have three wonderful and unique children, all daughters. Two have married and, with their husbands, are raising beautiful families that God has blessed with a new generation of covenant children. The third has lived at home while completing graduate school. She has continued to live with my wife and me for the one and a half years since earning her Master of Fine Arts degree in painting.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth.

During this time, God has continued to move in the life of this, my last child at home, and He has called her to use her talents and training as a vehicle to tell others about Himself. These people He wants her to share with are in Perth, Australia.

I've learned from scripture that God is a mighty warrior. Now He has laid the last of my daughters on His bow, taken aim half way around the world, and on Tuesday morning, she departs for a 1-year missionary internship.

Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them.

It is an amazing thing to see God use your children, for His own glory, around the United States and the world.

We love you, and you go with our prayers and complete confidence.

(Psalm 127:3-5)
