Hi everybody! I thought that I would be back with pictures before this, but things have been a bit slower than I thought they would. Let me explain...
You know that we bought new appliances, but did you know that we only got the dishwasher and convection/microwave over range hood just got installed last week? With those now in place, the kitchen is pretty much finished for now...except for painting.
We were in Haverty's furnture store, two weeks ago I think, and found the perfect rug for our living room that would hide the in-floor plug and coordinate our furniture. Unfortunately, it ended being too small and needed two new chairs to replace the much loved love seat and ottoman. The new larger rug should arrive Oct 5 and allow us to finish the living room except for painting.
But do not fear the love seat and ottoman only relocated to the man-cave, oops, I mean the downstairs family room. This is a wonderful room! Very cozy and friendly with the afore mentioned love seat, my "big-man" Lazy Boy recliner and a new leather sofa all arranged around an inviting fireplace. OK...for editorial accuracy, the room really is arranged around the new plasma big-screen with a home theater sound system which I must thank Curtis for getting hooked up for me. This room, and all the downstairs rooms are on the future painting schedule.
Did I mention that Haverty's also has the bed room set that Maryanne and I are trying to convince ourselves is not too extravagant to buy? It really is beautiful and would go nicely with the new comforter, bed skirt, pillows and linen...RED! I'm excited to see the room with all this new stuff, but I'll probably wait until we finish painting.
So Maryanne and I are committed to finish the upstairs painting before my parents visit in 2 1/2 weeks for my birthday. I will put up pictures when the painting is finished.
Oh, and did I mention Maryanne's visit to Megan in Atlanta Oct 10 through 13?

We can't wait to see all the new changes that you guys have made to the house. It was already so beautiful, and I'm sure that with the changes things will be even more beautiful.
Love you guys, and can't wait to see pictures!
