Fruit of our labors...

Well, we're over the hump on this little project. We have finished the sanding in the kitchen and breakfast nook...what a MESS!...and then on the advice of our associate pastor, put on primer that was 75% of the color we would be painting with and applied the final coat of paint. It worked like a charm! we are really pleased with the results.

Maryanne has been making other progress as well...she is now starting to fill in those little accents that really finish off a room. This first picture is the shelves at the en of the kitchen island that is visible form the living room. The second is the opposite wall with the fireplace and several shelves with balancing "display nooks"? I think she has done a great job, and she has also picked out and is using the new bedding for our bed room.

But the job's not done yet! This is what remains...more sanding, priming and painting in the dining room. This should be neat though because Maryanne has a great idea for colors. She tells me she is thinking about dark brown below the chair rail and on the ceiling accent. Above the chair rail will be a green to tie into the colors in the living room. I can't wait...accept for the MESS!

Looks GREAT you guys!

Dad, I didn't see the picture with the fireplace?

I am so looking forward to coming up at Thanksgiving and seeing it in person.
