Let the game begin!

Yes...the messy final painting preparations are underway. I finished wiping down the walls to get the residual wallpaper paste off, and then put dry wall mud in all the gouges from the removal process. So far; so good.


Then Shannon came over today after church, and helped me by vacuuming the ledge over the mantle while I held the shop-vac on my head! Too bad we don't have a picture of that!!

Well, I started sanding my mud work and realized what a mess that will be. I've decided to get advice from my all-around handyman, friend and pastor, Tim, before proceeding. An added benefit is that Maryanne will be home Monday night to share the experience (and mess) with me.

Our goal is to have the primary/majority color up in the living and dining rooms,kitchen, breakfast nook and short hall to the garage done by Friday afternoon when my parents and brother and his family arrive from Oklahoma...pray for us! I'll let you know how it goes...here's where I am now...
