This is NOT a Dilly Bar...

I am in Texas with my oldest daughter's family for a couple reasons, but tonight I went with them to get their Christmas Tree. Of course we celebrated this success by driving through Dairy Queen. Kierstyn asked me what I wanted, and I suggested we should just get a box of dilly bars to take home. She quickly agreed, but Elizabeth said she wanted the star ice cream.

"Hmmmm..." I thought to myself, but Kierstyn assured me that they were dilly bars. Skeptical but accepting, I listened as Curtis ordered. "Do you want the red ones or the red, white and blue ones?" was the question from the talking menu. "red or red, white and blue?!" my thoughts exclaimed! Kierstyn confidently ordered the red, white and blue ones.

I then asked her if these were covered in chocolate...as everyone should know a dilly bar is. The questioning and worried look was one I remembered from her childhood, and I was right to be skeptical. This is not a dilly bar...

But we had fun any way, Elizabeth, Micah and me, eating our Star Kiss bars.

That is until Grand-Daddy wanted to get a lick from their Star Kisses...

It took a little effort, but I was able to make up with both of the kids after they finished their desert. I found a turtle hand-puppet to play with Micah...we had a pretty fun time. I hope you enjoy these photos.
