Everything is going very well...I came home on Tuesday to get back to work because it was all going so smoothly. Benjamin and his parents returned to their home on Wednesday evening, a full two days earlier than they had been told prior to the surgery.
They are scheduled to return to Austin to see the surgeon on this coming Wednesday. It will be a check up and evaluation to see IF Benjamin will need to go into the helmet! That's right, the surgeon said that his initial progress was so good that he may not need the helmet...amazing!!

This is Benjamin the night before surgery.
This is about 48 hours after surgery when the swelling was at its worst. His left side is more swollen because he had been sleeping on that side.
Here he is today, Sunday, just six days post-op....he's back to his spunky self and enjoying life!
He will get to have the bandage removed on Monday...Kierstyn will do it at home...and get his hair washed for the first time since the surgery. This will also help the absorbing (dissolving?)stitches to fall out...pretty cool.
We all remain very thankful for God's blessing to this whole event, and for the blessing of your prayerful support and encouragement. Thank you to everyone.
