Memorial Day Trip to Texas

Welcome to the whirlwind post from our whirlwind visit to College Station Texas over the Memorial Day holiday weekend! Maryanne, Shannon and I started out Friday morning with our minivan loaded with gifts, luggage and our two dogs, Sophie (Beagle) and Macy (Labra-doodle). It was crowded but exciting...well, it certainly was crowded.

Any way, we finally made it there and and the celebration of Benjamin's birthday began in the driveway with his brother Micah riding his new "bike". We quickly went inside out of the heat and humidity, to continue Benjamin's gift opening as well as his Mom's birthday present opening. The night ended with hanging decorations for the big 1 Year birthday bash for Benjamin the next day. It was a blast...but to see the cake in the face/hair, you'll have to go to his Mom's blog (Krajca...the link is on the right side of this page). I don't know where I was for the cake!!

Maryanne and I also celebrated our 31st anniversary over the weeken at the Hyatt using some "points" I had collected from work. Man, working in the civilian world sure has its perks! And to top off the trip, Kierstyn and Curtis let Elizabeth and Micah come home with us for the rest of this week. Then Maryanne and her mother are going to take the kids back home next weekend.

It was a great trip and I hope you enjoy the photos!

Very nice montage! I really like the last picture of the two kids sharing the iPod. Awwww!

We had a blast with you guys, and are so thankful that you were able to make it for Benjamin's party. And thanks for taking the kids for a trip to Kansas. Life has been much quieter, to say the least!
