Bad Dog, Macie!

Macie has been exploring her world. She started a couple months back, as puppies will do, chewing on shoes left out in the living room. But from there she progressed to checking out things on the end tables, specifically chewing the cork off the bottoms of our coasters. OK, we figured we would now have to start "punishing" her...stern looks and scolding.

But she has recently started exploring the counter tops...yes, we're guessing that she is standing on her hind legs and pulling down whatever she finds. We are pretty sure that Sophie is standing a reasonable distance, but in her sneakiest doggie voice, encouraging the naive Macie. Take a look at their latest escapades...

Who knew that dogs liked lettuce, even tender baby field greens, enough to pull down the container, chew it open and spread the feast on the sofa?

One time recently, Shannon was eating her lavishly buttered English muffin when her mother asked her if she had noticed how the end of the stick of butter was so messed up. Shannon said she had noticed and thought little about it. Maryanne only said one word...Macie. I'm not sure, but I think that Shannon had a word in mind as well...and I don't think it was"organic", but I'll leave that to you to investigate.
