You know that I sold the white minivan. What you may not know is that I needed to put up a garage door opener since we would now be using that garage for something other than "storage".
So on Friday evening Maryanne and I are off to Lowe's to buy the opener and hopefully everything else needed to get this done on Saturday. Well, after at least three additional trips to Lowe's by Maryanne and Shannon because we didn't fully account for the very high ceiling the garage, it came time to test it out. Shannon got the honors because she was buggin' us to death and had been a pretty good sport.
And it worked the first time! The first time we used the button coming out of the house...the first time we used the remote...the first time we tested the safety features...everything worked the first time we tried it.
Now on to my next project...setting up the new desktop computer! Curtis and Matt...you may need to stay close to your phones this evening.
So after many misadventures in manly handiwork over the years, Maryanne concedes that this indeed was the first time it all worked on the first time...a first first!
OBTW...I'm not parking in the new garage area because it has become a painting booth for an artist I love...but only temporarily...I hope...
