One Saturday, yesterday, Maryanne and I were working in the front yard taking down the Christmas lights. When suddenly, Maryanne realizes she has a friend watching her...a big dog...a Rhodesian Ridgeback!
We got no news Saturday evening nor when we got home from church, so I took matters into my own hands...and made a sign!
My sign had only been in the yard a couple hours when the door bell rang and we met Dave, Maya's owner. To say the least, they were happy to be reunited. Dave's wife Leslie and preschool son and daughter were very happy to have Maya back with their family. We even got brownies out of it! Now we have new friends too!But Shannon is disappointed that Sophie and Macie don't have a new sister...

And just think - the grandkids could have had a new "horse" to ride (the dog looked big enough)!
