I learned yesterday that Matt and Megan have chosen Jeremiah's middle name: Wayne.
They had discussed Brandt, a name that Megan had liked since she was a girl, and Efrim, the English variant of the Hebrew name Ephraim (one of Joesph's sons in Old Testament history, the Tribe of Ephraim).
But yesterday, Megan called to tell me that they had chosen Wayne, my middle name that I also share with my Dad, Jimmie Wayne. We also share our name with Jeremiah's cousin, Micah Wayne.
It's exciting when your children choose to name one of their children after you...and sobering. I pray that they will be proud of the name we share.

We already are very proud of the name Wayne and the men who have it.
Micah has enjoyed telling people that Baby Jeremiah has the same name as him. He had even more fun learning (again) that he shared the name with him. He told someone today that his Grand Daddy's name was "Grand Daddy Wayne Johnston Marlon".
We are very proud of the name as well!!
