Sunday, July 8 Hunting

Well, we were at it again today! We saw a total of seven from several different neighborhoods and from several different styles. These first two are in an older neighborhood on the river that goes through town...the Arkansas we think (pronounced ar-kansas). Both were beautiful with character, but both had been multiresidence homes that had been restored to a single-family residence. We felt there were just too many challenges to take opportunity of these...if you know what I mean.
MLS 217030

MLS 219117
As you might guess, Shannon loved these as well as their charactor...here she is trying to cinvince us.
This home is absolutely beautiful and we loved it. Unfortunately, what my pictures don't show is that it is on a major east-west road and it has the drainage ditch for the neighborhood just off the covered deck. These issues plus the fact that the yard was only accessable from the basement made us place this one low on our list.

MLS 221309

This home also had a nice floor plan at a great price. The wall hangings in the basement office showed it belongs to a former Air Force pilot and his family. We weren't sold on the location and the master bath was a little cramped. These put this one in the middle of our list, but not a contender.

MLS 214054

We looked at two others...one was just not what we wanted in quality and foor plan so it's off our list. The other (MLS 208481) was more house and cost than we wanted. It had beautiful woodwork and impressive attention to the details. Plus we found another by the same builder that had a floorplan we liked better in our price range...the one above!

Thanks!
