We're Going Nuts...

Just a short update on the hunt...we can't make up our minds!

But Sophie is doing fine at Shannon's in spite of all the stress...

Maryanne's parents came up last Sunday and visited the three contenders with us. We appreciated their unbiased counsel and parental advice. Through them, we were able to agree to eliminate the latest contender...the new house. While it had many great features, when we began to consider the challenges, expenses and things we thought odd (like the fireplace centered between the living room and breakfast nook but not in either), we took it off the list.

So now we are back to two of our first contenders...221466, the house on Texas (http://www.wichitalistings.com/property/property.asp?PRM_MLSNumber=221466&PRM_MlsName=wichitaKS) and

220247, the house on Forest Lakes(http://www.wichitalistings.com/property/property.asp?PRM_MLSNumber=220247&PRM_MlsName=wichitaKS).

Both have great yards with sprinkler systems, but Texas is bigger and has a well...but Forest Lakes is almost completely fenced and the back yard is in the evening shade. Forest Lakes is more move-in ready, but Texas has an island in the kitchen. Texas is bigger, but Forest Lakes is a good bit cheaper even with specials. My commute to work is the same for both...20 minutes to work and 30 minutes back.

We have been pre-approved for a mortgage that allows us to purchase either, so we are going back out tomorrow night to look at both...again. Pam (our realtor) is also getting us the comps for the two neighborhoods. Pray for us...and Pam...we want to do the right and best thing.
